Language Courses
General Information
Our language teachers from China offer high-quality language courses in various formats up to CEFR level C2. From beginners to advanced learners, there's a course for everyone! Students also have the option of earning ECTS credits for successfully completed courses as elective coursework. Furthermore, we administer officially recognized exams to certify Chinese language proficiency (HSK, YCT, BCT). These exams serve several purposes, including enabling students to study abroad at a Chinese university or to participate in our summer camps in Beijing.
The perfect language course for you!
We offer a wide range of language courses in various formats. Our standard evening courses always start in October and in March, meeting once a week for 14 sessions, with courses ranging from beginner to advanced (C2) level. We also offer online courses, which follow the same format as the evening courses, conversation courses focusing on listening and speaking, intensive courses for beginners in February and July, and individual courses that are flexible in terms of content and scheduling.

Chinese made easy!
The Confucius Institute at the University of Vienna offers a comprehensive introduction to Chinese grammar with its programme "Learning Chinese Made Easy." Individual topics can be learned in manageable chunks through self-study or reviewed to refresh existing knowledge. We will gladly support you in answering any questions you may have within the framework of this programme.
