Course delivery:
Unless explicitly marked as online courses, our language courses are generally offered as in-person lessons.
However, the Confucius Institute reserves the right to switch fromin-person to distance learning (online teaching) if this is necessary for reasons beyond the Confucius Institute’s control. Such reasons include, in particular, official orders and/or recommendations, the protection of staff and clients, and other circumstances that prevent people from gathering on the premises of the Confucius Institute or from conducting in-person language lessons in a meaningful manner, provided that these circumstances do not fall within the sphere of responsibility of the Confucius Institute. Clients expressly agree to this procedure. The provision of the necessary technical equipment (in particular a receiving device, internet connection, etc.) is the responsibility of the clients. However, the Confucius Institute will provide a suitable video-conferencing application for the duration of the language course, provided that this is not available free of charge. Withdrawals from the contract or price reductions are excluded in respect of distance learning.
Compensation:
The Confucius Institute’s inventory, premises, media and equipment must be used and handled with care. Course participants shall be liable to pay compensation for any damage they cause.
Document forgery and attempted fraud:
Any attempt to forge documents (certificates, certificates of attendance, etc.) will be reported to the police without exception and will, in any case, result in expulsion from the course. In the event of attempted fraud during examinations (‘cheating’), the participant’s entitlement to a certificate will be forfeited and they will be expelled from the course.

Smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises of the Confucius Institute.
No animals:
Animals (with the exception of guide dogs) are not permitted in the Confucius Institute’s courses.
