HSK & HSKK
The HSK exam is an internationally recognized, standardized Chinese language test for assessing the proficiency of non-native speakers and serves as official proof of Chinese language skills. It is, among other things, a prerequisite for the admission of international students to Chinese universities.
The exam consists of a written as well as an oral part.
HSK (written): The written HSK exam can be taken at one of 9 different levels.
HSK (oral): The oral HSK exam is offered at three levels: HSK Speaking (Elementary), HSK Speaking (Intermediate), and HSK Speaking (Advanced). Audio recording equipment is used for the exam. From HSK Level 3 onwards, taking an oral exam is mandatory.
Please note that, with the exception of HSK 1 and 2, you are required to upload a photo for all HSK levels as well as for the HSKK. The photo must be a recent photo (no more than 6 months old) between 15KB and 500KB in JPG format, meeting European passport photo standards.
YCT
The YCT is a standardized, internationally recognized Chinese language proficiency test. The YCT is designed for students whose native language is not Chinese. This test assesses proficiency in using Chinese in everyday situations and in academic activities.
The exam consists of two independent parts:
The written exam is offered at four levels (YCT Levels 1–4).
The oral exam comprises YCT Speaking (Elmentary Level) and YCT Speaking (Intermediate Level). Audio recording equipment is used for the oral exam.
BCT
The BCT is a standardized international Chinese language proficiency test. Unlike general Chinese language tests, the BCT focuses on the language proficiency of non-native Chinese speakers in business, professional, and economic contexts. The BCT is divided into BCT (A) for beginner and intermediate levels and BCT (B) for advanced learners.
